Science and Research Funding Officer (m/f/d)

As a lecturer for the research ecosystem, you are responsible for the management and development of our network in the scientific landscape. You are the strategic interface between the cyber agency and actors from science and research funding. Your focus is on universities, universities, non-university research institutes (e.g. Fraunhofer, Max-Planck, Helmholtz, Leibniz) and other project promoters. Your main tasks include: Network Management Research: You are the primary contact person for universities, universities, non-university research institutes (e.g. Fraunhofer, Max Planck, Helmholtz, Leibniz) as well as other project promoters and actively manage these partnerships. Strategic cooperation: You initiate and encourage cooperation with other project promoters and research institutions to raise synergies in research funding and project implementation. Research funding & EU expertise: You advise the management and department management on complex research funding mechanisms, especially at EU level, and use your network to link the cyber agency internationally. Interface function: You are pooling scientific impulses from the network and tuning closely with our expert advice to accelerate the transfer of research results into the application. Event management: You design and moderate specialist symposiums, scientific workshops and innovative network formats for actors in the research ecosystem. Monitoring: You test the national and international research and funding landscape (e.g. Horizon Europe) and identify strategic trends.

Forces required Completed academic studies (Master or Diplom-University) in a relevant field Insufficient work experience in research management and research funding e.g. universities, project promoters, authorities or non-university research institutions A resilient network in science and project promoters Knowledge of EU research funding mechanisms and the structures of the German research landscape Knowledge of research safety Impressed communication strength, networking skills and the ability to lead partnerships at eye level with science German and English knowledge in word and writing readiness for regular national and international missions These qualifications are desirable: A completed doctorate is advantageous Methodology competence (e.g. innovation methods, workshop moderation, design thinking, technology transfer)
