Senior Regulatory Affairs Expert (m/f/d)

You evaluate materials, substances and possible risks of raw materials and packaging. Take into account toxicological and regulatory aspects. You advise internal specialist areas, customers and suppliers on product safety, legal requirements and material assessments. You know REACH and other chemical regulations. You evaluate new requirements with regard to their significance for Bishop+Klein and derive clear recommendations for action. You create and check regulatory documents, such as declarations of conformity and absence, customer questionnaires and other product safety documents. You recognize potentials for more efficient and automated processes. Together with the departments, you develop regulatory processes, data structures and digital solutions.

Complete study or comparable qualification with a focus on (polymer) chemistry, chemical engineering, food technology, ecotrophology or a comparable field. At least five years of professional experience in Regulatory Affairs or product safety – ideally in the packaging, plastics or chemical industry. Knowledge of REACH and other fields of chemical law, as well as a good understanding of chemical relationships and substance assessments. Knowledge of toxicology and dangerous goods are of advantage. Embossed technical and regulatory understanding as well as a structured and solution-oriented manner. Joy in explaining complex requirements and developing practical solutions together with different disciplines. Safe handling of MS Office and SAP as well as experience in project management. Interest in new digital tools and the willingness to integrate AI-based solutions into everyday work. You take responsibility, go proactively and keep an overview in complex situations. German and English knowledge for international cooperation with customers, suppliers and authorities.
