Electronics technician for devices and systems – service and production (m/f/d)

Schoeps has been developing and manufacturing studio microphones that are used worldwide for over 75 years – handmade in Karlsruhe. With nearly 50 employees, we combine craft precision with continuous technological development. Our microphones are in many concert halls, sound studios, parliaments, film sets and large sports arenas. Everything is under one roof: development, production, service and sales. Every microphone that leaves our house is individually adjusted and tested – and often comes back to us after many years in the case of a repair. Our service is therefore a central component of the brand: It keeps devices in use for decades and is in direct exchange with toners worldwide. In flat structures with short decision-making, we work on a high level of quality, sound and reliability – on the microphone and in cooperation.

Service and Manufacturing Electronics are located directly next to each other in space and content – both areas work closely together. Depending on the focus and team task, your tasks can include: In the service: Analysis and repair of electronic assemblies (analog circuits, SMD, THT) Input and output testing with our measurement technology (Audio Precision, Oscilloscope and others) Processing and documentation of service cases in the ERP system (AP+) Care and evaluation of service statistics Close coordination with sales: feedback on status and time planning In production: Testing and construction of modules, final control and quality assurance Production planning and technical support of ongoing production processes Warehouse care and material management Technical contact person in the team With design and further development of manufacturing processes

The role of the team You are sitting in the Electronics production – a well-established team of experienced practitioners (m/w/d) – and at the same time you are regular contact person for sales who expects clear, binding statements. This interface role needs someone who is communicative at home in both worlds: direct and precise to the outside, at eye level and with fingertip feeling inward. Whoever brings this as strength is right here. What you bring Technically: (m/w/d) or comparable qualification – also acquired through many years of professional experience Safe handling of electronic circuits and circuit diagrams (analog, audio) Experience in soldering technology (SMD and wired) and technical skills Experience with electrical measurement technology (oscilloscope, multimeter, ideally audio measurement technology) Quality awareness and careful working Affinity for audio technology of advantage, but no need Personal: Communication strength: You will find the right sound – depending on the conversation partner Reliability and self-initiative: You keep dates and ask in time if something doesn't work Organisational skills: Multiple open service cases at the same time Team orientation: You work collegially – without elbow Our tools ERP system AP+, Slack (internal communication), Asana (tasks), Altium Designer. Measurement technology: Audio Precision and standard oscilloscopes. No complete pre-knowledge required – professional onboarding is of course necessary.
