Who we are

Our Department of Forensic Psychiatry 3 has 40 stationary beds and approx. 40 seats for leaved and released patients. According to § 64 of the German Civil Code, subjects are treated. In addition to the treatment, leave preparations and outpatient care are included in this department. It is headed by Mr Rinder.

The LVR-Klinik Langenfeld is a Fachklinik für Psychiatrie, Psychotherapie und Psychosomatik und Akademisches Lehrkrankenhaus der Universität Duisburg-Essen. She's part of the LVR clinical network.

We treat patients from the southern and middle circles of Mettmann, Solingen, Leverkusen, Burscheid and Leichlingen at the Langenfeld site and in our treatment centres. 663 treatment sites are available in the semi-stationary and fully-stationary area. In addition, there are general psychiatric and specialized outpatients, such as for eating disorders, traumas, Gerontopsychiatrie.

We work at a high level with the use of state-of-the-art treatment methods such as EKT and rTMS.

The LVR-Klinik Langenfeld has the complete training authorizations for specialist training in psychiatry and psychotherapy and psychosomatic medicine and psychotherapy.

In our own nursing school, we train our young nurses.

With our approximately 1,500 employees, we work together on a task: to offer mentally ill adults an individual treatment adapted to the needs of the individual.
