At the University Hospital of Schleswig-Holstein (UKSH), the Institute for Transfusion Medicine carries out over 200 aphereseses per year to obtain hematopoietic stem cells from the peripheral blood of donors, patients and more than 50 aphereseseses in patients to obtain leukocytes for the CAR-T cell production. The apheresis processes are often carried out with an extracorporeal blood circulation via central venous catheters and are most likely comparable to a dialysis. In addition to the existing stem cell athesis unit in the Dr. Mildred-Scheel-Haus on Campus Kiel, a stem cell athesis unit is to be built up on Campus Lübeck to expand the capacities. We are looking for dedicated nurses who want to help shape this exciting area from the outset.

The job is limited to 2 years and a long-term perspective is explicitly provided.

• Grouping into the remuneration group KR 7 TV-L in compliance with the tariff conditions

• Full-time employment (approximately 38.5 hours/week) or parttime work with 7.7 hours/day on 2 to 4 days/week, each without night or Sunday services

This is what awaits you:

• Care of our patients and donors before, during and after the aperitif

• Pointing of the veins in preliminary examinations for the apheresis and independent execution of blood image measurements at the automatic analyzer

• Support for medical services in case of first aid measures in case of complications

• Preparation of laboratory samples and Apheresate for dispatch

• Acquisition of tasks in the field of quality management as well as dispensation and active participation in the construction and further development of the new stem cell athesis unit

This distinguishes you:

• A completed training as a health and nursing person/health and nursing person Care compartment

• Experience in dealing with central venous catheters, for example through your work in areas such as dialysis, oncology, haematology, intensive medicine or anaesthesia

• Applications from other fields and/or from start-ups and start-ups are also welcome with us

• Joy in dealing with people, independent working, high level of organizational and empathy

• Ready to work in different layers in the morning from 8:00 or in the evening until 19:00
