The Sana Hospital of Rügen is a modern hospital of basic and regular care with 206 plan beds in the fields of internal medicine, general surgery, orthopaedics/accident surgery, gynecology/birth aid, pediatrics and anesthesia/intensity medicine as well as the document department of urology. In addition to the acupuncture, the house operates a short-term care and a hospice.

The Sana doctor's Praxes Rügen complement the range of services in the outpatient area. On the island of Rügen, the Sana-Krankenhaus Rügen fulfils the public service mandate and has a significant proportion of the medical treatment and care of the population and the guests of the island – annually the staff of the house provide approx. 24,000 outpatient and stationary patients.

The Sana Hospital Rügen works closely with the University Medicine Greifswald as an academic teaching hospital.

The team of the Department of Anesthesiology, Interdisciplinary Intensive Therapy and Perioperative Medicine understands itself as an interdisciplinary service provider and bears responsibility for the surgical coordination, interdisciplinary intensive care of the house and the emergency medical service You bring your expertise to the care of patients in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit and take over obercive responsibility for diagnostics, therapy and treatment coordination You participate in the interdisciplinary acute care of stroke patients, including telemedicine-supported treatment decisions, as part of the certified TeleStroke Unit You understand yourself as an integral part of the team and work collegially as well as professionally with all professional groups and specialist departments together You accompany and support doctors in specialist training and thus make an important contribution to qualifying junior support You actively contribute to the further development of intensive medical processes, concepts and quality standards of the intensive care unit You are committed to the service structure of the intensive care unit and are committed to the reliable round-the-clock supply of our patients with
