MSD, a leading manufacturer of specialty chemicals, systems and software for the PCB, semiconductor and connector industries, offers you the chance to complete a highly relevant mandatory internship that is directly anchored in your study order. We are looking for curious, eager students who want to work in the wet chemical laboratory and who like to move between inorganic, organic and physical chemistry as well as material sciences. In your internship, you support our project team in developing an electroless chipper process for ultra-thin copper layers – a key component for the next generation of high-tech devices. So you work on technologies that you keep in your hands every day – and actively shape your future. Your responsibility Conducting laboratory tests and tasks after consultation with your care Preparation of test substrates for chemical copper deposition Production and chemical analysis of process baths Assessment of the deposited copper layers by means of wet chemical and physical methods Careful documentation of your results Presentation of your results in team meetings Troubleshooting and Process Optimization Support

enrolled in the Bachelor's degree programme Chemistry, Physics, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science or a related subject The internship is a mandatory part of your study order (no voluntary internships) First experience in the wet chemical laboratory Basic knowledge of spectroscopy, gravimetry, titrimetry and the chemistry of transition metals Ready to use hazardous materials Ability to plan, perform and evaluate experiments Safe handling of Microsoft Office Proactive, structured and team-oriented working Good knowledge of English; Other languages are a plus High motivation to learn new things and contribute to relevant industrial projects Remuneration € 450 per month
