Number: MER0003GI7 Our work is characterised by the visions and requirements of e-mobility. We mean innovative products with the highest quality and efficient development processes. In Group Research & Mercedes-Benz Cars Development (RD), we design the automotive generations of the future. We are already working on vehicles and components that will secure the technology leadership of Mercedes-Benz in the future. The Center RD/EB is responsible for the entire battery development in the area of the drive development of Mercedes-Benz AG. The Electrochemistry team is responsible for creating and parameterizing electrical and thermal simulation models for the lithium-ion cell. The aim of this thesis is to expand and optimize the existing method for parameterizing electrodes in physical-chemical cell models. For this purpose, both measurement and simulative investigations must be carried out and improved evaluation methods must be developed. The precise orientation of the work ultimately depends on the previous development progress and the personal, professional qualification. These challenges come to you: Introduction to the topic Lithium-ion cells incorporation into characterization methods of electrodes and parameterization of physicochemical cell models Measurement analysis of experimental cells Data processing and evaluation Interpretation of experimental data Simulative validation of parameters Application and development of optimization algorithms to increase parameter accuracy Documentation and presentation of results
The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.
