Fleet manager for rail freight transport (m/f/d)

Their focus is on optimizing our maintenance processes, with the aim of reducing costs and at the same time ensuring a safe and operational condition of the freight car fleet. With your experience and your willingness to design, you will face this task in an innovative and solution-oriented manner. Process design: You question existing processes, create new structures and continuously develop fleet control and maintenance in line with quality and regulatory requirements. Fleet control: You control the wagon fleet with an entrepreneurial understanding and always look at BLG AutoRail's owner interests. Planning: With a wide view, you plan the fleet needs and ensure the cost-optimized availability of our own wagons. Maintenance strategy: New paths are in demand – outside the BLG group, you drive the search for alternative maintenance partners according to ECM standard. Quality management and standards: You bring together cost-effectiveness and quality and establish a reliable process for testing and releasing cost proposals for repairs and revisions.

You have a technical understanding and know what to do in the maintenance of rail freight? Do you enter technical contexts quickly and transfer them into practice? Then bring the best conditions for this position with: Qualification: You have a commercial or technical training. A further development, e.g. to the technician or master (m/w/d) with a focus on mechanical engineering, vehicle construction, rail vehicle technology, is advantageous, but no prerequisite. Practice: You have already gained professional experience in fleet management of freight wagons and/or in the handling of maintenance measures for rail vehicles. Know-how: You are familiar with ECM-certified maintenance according to EU regulations and European quality standards in freight transport. Communication and negotiation strength: You communicate in German and English. In negotiations, you will deal safely and constructively with different internal and external interest groups, develop pragmatic, solution-oriented approaches together and represent your position sovereignly.
