Product Manager for the anabin Information System (m/f/d)

At the Secretariat of the Standing Conference of Ministers of Culture of the Länder in the Federal Republic of Germany, the Central Office for Foreign Education (ZAB) in the Department 1 (Digitalization and Databases) is to be replaced by the following: Product Manager (m/w/d) Entg.Gr. 13 TV-L plus IT supplement 100% weekly working time (39.4 hours) indefinite Reference number 28/26 The central office for foreign education (ZAB) is the central interface of specialist education in Germany. It evaluates educational evidence from abroad and supports other bodies in the evaluation and recognition of foreign educational qualifications. The ''anabin'' information system forms the basis of work and knowledge for the currently about 300 employees of the ZAB and for a large number of bodies involved in the recognition of foreign educational evidence in the Federal Republic of Germany.

As a product manager for anabin you design the strategic further development of a central information system for the evaluation and recognition of foreign educational qualifications in Germany. You actively receive feedback from different user groups and stakeholders, derive requirements and develop innovative features as well as improvements in usability and functionality. You control a technical refit of the system and plan interfaces to other ZAB systems as well as to external applications – using your multi-year professional experience in web and application development as well as your well-founded IT knowledge. A dedicated team is at your side for creative exchange and professional savings: five colleagues are currently working on the further development of further digital systems of the ZAB. The technical implementation is carried out by an external service provider, which you control in the role as an interface to the specialist page. For larger projects, you take over the role of Product Owner (PO) and manage the agile development together with the development partner. You are not yet familiar with the PO role, but do you have several years of experience in the management of software projects? We will be happy to support you through targeted training.
