They work closely with the three speakers of the scientific Vice-Presidents. They support the scientific vice-presidents in carrying out their current duties, in particular in the scientific assessment of applications. In your own responsibilities and in coordination with the Vice-Presidents, you are responsible for the work of commissions to select scientists at W2 level. They develop constructive and efficient solution proposals for versatile tasks at a central interface between science and administration. At the VP office you are part of a team of currently 7 employees. In addition, you work closely with colleagues from other teams within and outside the department. Their tasks require close and trusting cooperation with the leadership of the MPG, all departments of the General Administration and, in particular, the Scientific Members in the Institutes.

Completed academic studies, ideally with doctorate Experience in science management at a university and/or non-university research institution, preferably in the work of the committee Analytical thinking as well as targeted and independent working Very good organizational capacity, sense of responsibility and readiness Excellent communication skills in German in word and writing as well as knowledge of English (C1/C2 level) readiness to travel regularly Understanding numbers and openness for digital tools

In the course of one up to 30. June 2029 temporary employment in parttime 50 % (19.5 hours per week) we offer you, depending on the qualification and professional experience, a payment up to 14 TVöD (bund) and various social benefits.
