Key Account Manager Transport & Traffic Infrastructure (m/f/d)

Strategic account management: support and development of existing large customers as well as systematic acquisitions of new customers and large-scale projects in the Transport and Transport Infrastructure segment (Focus Germany: DB AG and subsidiaries, public transport operators, signal building and railway engineering manufacturers). Early project placement: Close exchange with specialist planners, engineering offices, system integrators and general users to anchor their own cabinet and housing solutions already in the design and specification phase of infrastructure projects. Call for tenders and tenders: Individual control of complex public and non-public tendering processes in the railway and transport environment in coordination with pre-sales, technology and product management. Interface to Technology & Approval: Cooperation with the internal development and quality departments to coordinate customer-specific adaptations and to support required customer authorisations. Market & Trends Scouting: Monitoring of funding programmes and modernisation initiatives (e.g. Digital Rail Germany, expansion of the charging/IT infrastructure in the ÖPNV) to identify future product and sales potentials. Trade fairs & networks: Representation of the company at industry-specific trade fairs (e.g. InnoTrans) and in industry associations for targeted network management.

Complete technical or business studies (e.g. economic engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, BWL) or a comparable qualification with a strong technical understanding. Multiannual experience in B2B-Key Account Management or technical project sales in the context of railway technology, transport infrastructure, rail vehicle industry or electrical engineering. Confidence with the procurement and supplier structures of the transport sector (ideally experience in the business with the Deutsche Bahn Group as well as OEMs/system houses of the railway industry). Basic understanding of physical infrastructure components such as IT housing (IP/IK protection classes), rack air conditioning and monitoring. German language skills and good English skills in word and writing. Impressed negotiating skills and sovereign entry in negotiations with purchasing, project management and technology. Endurance and structured work in dealing with long sales and decision-making processes. High level of initiative, sales affinity and solution-oriented thinking. Teamability and strength in interface management between customer and internal technology. readiness to travel within Germany.
