As a Kubernetes Architect for the on-premises infrastructure, you can design private cloud solutions with your technical expertise. You take over the end-to-end responsibility for the design and smooth operation of the container platforms, as well as: Architecture & Design: Conception and further development of highly available, scalable and safe Kubernetes cluster in on-premises environment Platform engineering: selection, evaluation and integration of CNCF technologies for the local data center Network & Security: Design of complex container networks and implementation of zero-trust concepts, network policies and Pod Security standards Automation & GitOps: Establishment of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform/Ansible and GitOps workflows for fully automated deployment of clusters and workloads Observability & Reliability: Conception of Monitoring, Logging and Tracing Solutions and Definition and Monitoring of SLOs/SLIs Consulting & Mentoring: Technical consulting of developer teams in the migration of applications to on-premises cloud as well as professional leadership and coaching

Expertise & proactive approach: We are looking for a technology-experienced person who not only masters theory, but brings profound practical experience away from the managed cloud services; in particular we expect: Reliable, well-founded experience as Cloud Architect, Platform Engineer or Senior DevOps Engineer, ideally with a clear focus on the development of data center and/or On-premises infrastructures. Kubernetes Deep Dive: Excellent knowledge of Kubernetes architecture (Control Plane, etcd, Kubelet); Certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator) or CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist) are a big plus On-Premises Infrastructure: Good understanding of Linux operating systems, virtualization and ideally Bare Metal revision Network & Storage: Very good knowledge of traditional and containerized network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, BGP, VXLAN) and experience with block and file-based on-premises storage Tooling: Secure handling of CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions), IaC (Terraform, Ansible) and container runtimes (containerd, CRI-O) Soft Skills: Analytical understanding, pronounced problem-solving competence in complex infrastructure incidents and good communication skills
