System Administrator (m/w/d)

As a primary digitization partner of the Bundeswehr, we provide stable, safe and efficient IT services in Germany and abroad, from basic operations to the field close to the application and thus contribute to the continuous increase in the leadership and operational capacity of the Bundeswehr. With over 7,700 colleagues, we operate and modernise one of the largest and most complex IT infrastructures in Germany. We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are convinced that the Bundeswehr-IT will further develop in challenging digitalization projects and thus contribute to Germany's security. Together with us, you are worried about the future digital capability of the Bundeswehr. System Administrator (m/w/d) from now on and in full time in Rheinbach. The Service Control Center (SCC) department is part of the Rheinbach location centre and is responsible for monitoring the WAN, LAN, TK and other BWI operating services in a 24 hour shift operation. All messages and system events are recorded, classified, categorized, evaluated and prioritized in the SCC location centre. If a direct solution is not possible by the location center SCC, the messages with all the associated information are forwarded to downstream system operations for interference suppression, external service providers and call readiness are activated if necessary and escalations are carried out if necessary. The Shift User Services team also supports classic UHD tasks and ensures a 7*24h availability for customers.

Central communication interface between the BWI and the users of IT systems

Acceptance, qualification, response and, where appropriate, forwarding of general requests

Consumption, detection and resolution of fault messages

Documentation of the implemented measures in the ITSM system

System administration/monitoring in the Server area

Processing of incidents and incidents (2nd level) according to existing work instructions

Dispatcher function in case of compartment-specific disturbances (continuation to the compartments)

Control and monitoring of the sole use of employees of the service center in the standby time

Complete vocational training in the field of information, communication and communication technology and at least three years of professional experience

Knowledge and experience in the application of ticket systems and knowledge databases

Good knowledge with Active Directory (AD), TCP/IP, MS operating systems and MS servers

Experience of networks and corresponding protocols, active and inactive WAN/LAN components, data protection and data protection

Found user knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

German language skills in word and writing

Ready to work in 24/7 shift operation
