This is a permanent job with possible locations in the large areas of Stuttgart and Friedrichshafen.

Numerical simulation, modelling and evaluation of physical-optical properties of highly complex systems Development and optimization of mathematical algorithms and physical simulations Systematic analysis and evaluation of measurement data Documentation and presentation of results Coordination of project-wide tasks Close cooperation with internal and external partners

Very good MINT-Studium of Theoretical Physics, Mathematical Physics, Computational Physics, Computational Mathematics, Applied Maths, Technomathematics, Theoretical Chemistry, Computer Science, Simulation Technology, Computational Engineering, etc. Ideally doctorate for Dr. rer. nat. and possibly Experience as a post-doc with affinity for theoretical physics and/or mathematics Very good knowledge of numerical simulation and modeling Know-how in data evaluation and programming with Matlab, Python and/or C++ Advantageous expertise in algorithm development and with mathematical optimal algorithms Experience in one or more of the following areas desirable: Numerics, Simulation, Modelling, Modelling, Model Reduction, Algorithmic, Optimization, Programming, Data Science, Machine Learning, High Performance Computing, Parallel Computing, Optics, Quantum Physics, Quantum Mechanics, Particle Accelerator (e.g. by the work at DESY, CERN / ATLAS or Belle II) Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary work
