Radiation surgeon (m/f/d)

With the research neutron source Heinz Maier-Leibnitz (FRM II) in Garching near Munich, the Technical University of Munich operates one of the most powerful and modern neutron sources worldwide. In order to strengthen our team around the irradiation facilities, we are looking for an irradiation operator (m/w/d) in full time (40 h/week).

Self-operating the irradiation devices and independent processing of irradiation orders within the framework of an industrial two-layer system Recurring examinations at the irradiation facilities (partly in cooperation with external experts) performing routine maintenance work as well as participation in repairs on irradiation plants and other facilities of the department in cooperation with other specialist departments Preparation and implementation of intra-company transport of irradiated goods and the organisation and handling of external transport in cooperation with forwarding and customers

You have completed training in a technical craftsmanship, ideally masters, as well as a high willingness to further training. You have basic knowledge of the computer and understand technical documentation in German. Due to the extensive documentation requirements for submission to authorities, very good German knowledge is required. You are characterized by a reliable, thorough and careful operation in a demanding environment. Our radiation operators form a team of 5-7 colleagues. Teamability is one of your strengths, and the work is done by experienced colleagues. The activity requires partial lifting of heavy loads and the use of crane systems and conveyor vehicles. A corresponding physical fitness is assumed. Experience in handling hoists is an advantage, but the necessary training can also be acquired in the course of incorporation. The possibility of incorporating into the environment of a nuclear facility is offered to you in a comprehensive manner. The high safety standard of our facility requires the atomic reliability of employees. Corresponding checks are carried out for this purpose. Activities also require access to radiation protection areas.

The FRM II has a flexible working time model with electronic time recording, in which multi-working is fully compensated.
