The “Corporate Accounting Principles & Standards” department is responsible as a central contact person for reporting and ensuring Group-wide compliance with the “IFRS Accounting and Reporting Guideline” within DHL Group. We are looking for an experienced Senior Manager of Corporate Accounting Principles (m/w/d) that takes over the analysis of strategically relevant business incidents, e.g. Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) projects with regard to IFRS funding and reporting. Their expertise will help to support the management decisions and financial stability of the DHL Group. Key tasks: Analysis and assessment of business contracts and new business models with regard to IFRS-compliant accounting and derivation of sound recommendations for action. Precise transaction descriptions of M&A projects for accounting assessment according to IFRS and professional exchange with external consultants. Constitution of Statements, Notes and Memos on IFRS Financial Statements Development of decision templates for top management and participation in group-wide approval processes. Ensuring IFRS governance and compliance through qualified consulting of divisions. Analysis of legal developments and innovations in IFRS accounting and their assessment of impact on DHL Group: Head of Group-wide projects to implement new IFRS funding regulations. Ensuring the definition and updating of Group-wide accounting policies according to IFRS. Contact person for external auditors and the Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin). Continuous review of processes and derivation of improvement measures to increase efficiency in the area. Technical requirements: Higher education with a focus on accounting/auditing or comparable qualifications. Long-term professional experience in group accounting in an international company or in an audit firm. Examinations or comparable qualifications Experience Extensive experience in the application of international accounting (IFRS). Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing. Personal requirements: Embossed analytical thinking and result-oriented working. High self-initiative, sense of responsibility and team capacity.
