We are looking for two for our HZG 5 ''Transfusion Medicine, Cell Therapy and Fabric Preparations'' as soon as possible. Senior Consultant (m/w/d) We, the Paul-Ehrlich-Institut, are a scientific institution of the Federal Institute responsible for the testing and approval of vaccines and biomedical medicinal products and for research in the field of life sciences. Networking with national and international actors makes us a competent partner for the public, science, medicine, politics and business. The field of transfusion medicine, cell therapy and tissue preparations the Department of Haematology, Cell and Gene Therapy (HZG) supervises the field of blood components for transfusion, stem cell preparations for hematopoietic reconstitution, human tissue preparations and tissue (including germ cells). The EU regulation on substances of human origin (SoHO-VO) also extends the scope for human milk products from August 2027. The area assesses applications for authorisation/approval and production and testing and checks on blood banks, stem cell and tissue facilities on site.

Assessment of applications for authorisation for products in the field of competence Assessment of applications for approval of a clinical examination with regard to quality aspects Participation in inspections by the competent authorities of the countries and carrying out inspections under admission procedures Scientific advice from applicants and competent authorities on matters of admission, clinical trial and medicinal products Participation in answering questions from the specialist public and the general public Cooperation in national and European bodies in development and Revision of relevant rules Please note that a declaration in accordance with § 77a AMG must be made in the event of the conclusion of the contract.

Completed academic studies (master or comparable) of human medicine (ideally transfusion or tissue medicine), of natural sciences (e.g. biology, biochemistry, pharmacy) or of a related study programme Promotion desired Both technical and regulatory knowledge in transfusion medicine, cell therapy and human tissue (including germ cells) and human milk desirable Secure, creative handling of data banks and modern data communication Excellent cooperation and team skills Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary cooperation Impressed readiness and loadability Standing for regular missions Very good German and English language skills in word and writing
