Number: MER0003V8F About us: The team Sustainability in the supply chain at Mercedes-Benz is all about responsible procurement. We work to reduce, process and produce raw materials and products for our vehicles while respecting human rights and environmental standards. In particular, the supply chains of steel, aluminum and battery materials play a central role. Our mission: create transparency, minimize risks and implement sustainable standards – together with around 1500 suppliers worldwide. Your tasks: Participation in the implementation of the UN Principles on Economic and Human Rights in Raw Materials Supply Chains Direct contact and exchange with suppliers, including answering questionnaires and follow-up processes Coordination and support in audits on Responsible Sourcing (e.g. RSCI) Cooperation in process design and digitization in the area of supplier evaluation and capability Self-assessment of projects, e.g. risk analysis, implementation of measures and impact control Implementation of regulatory requirements (e.g. LkSG, CSDDD, BatVO) Participation in corporate and industrial sustainability initiatives (e.g. IRMA, RMI) Creation of management presentations and training documents Research activities and coordination with other areas in the Group We offer you: The possibility to make the complex automotive supply chain more sustainable and to contribute to strategic and legal sustainability requirements Deep insights into the transformation of the supply chain and best practices for sustainability Development of your skills in supplier evaluation, audits and sustainable supply chains Flexible working time design and the possibility of hybrid working Attractive remuneration and personal care by a sponsor from the team The activity can begin from February 2026.

We expect you to: Studies in Sustainability Management, Social Sciences, Economics, Environmental Sciences or Natural Sciences, Geosciences, Raw Materials Management, Business Administration, Economic Engineering, Business Informatics, etc. enthusiasm for responsible procurement and sustainability; first practical experience in the supply chain are a plus Safe handling of MS Office, experience in software projects, ideally knowledge of process digitalization and basic knowledge of AI applications German and English fluent in word and writing Personal competencies: Team spirit Communication Own initiative Ability to unlock new topics quickly and independently Application documents Please add a CV to your application, a meaningful lettering and an overview of relevant courses.
