The medical service is the specialist service for the responsible task of identifying the health resources and limitations of customers of the Federal Employment Agency (BA). It assesses the impact on their performance and suitability for certain professions and activities. The team of the Medical Service includes some 350 doctors from different disciplines and assistance staff in 156 agencies across the country.

Tasks and activities

-- In order to optimally support the integration of people into working life and society, you prepare social medical advice and advise colleagues from the employment agency, professional advice and rehabilitation on questions of the suitability of customers for certain professions.

-- We want to constantly improve. Help us by sharing your knowledge within the framework of internal and external training as an expert in your field, facilitating quality circles and reviewing and developing our standards within the quality management system.

-- Prove your organizational staff by taking over the medical staff.

-- You hire medical professionals from the Medical Service and take over the quality assurance of their products.

-- you conduct social medical consultations.

Preconditions

-- a successfully completed medical study and an approbation as a doctor/ doctor

-- at least four years of medical activity in the care of patients, like a specialist certificate

-- the competence to convey complex facts to the addressee

-- would be desirable for further training in social medicine or Experience in medical assessment
