IT Infrastructure Architect - Cloud & Enterprise Infrastructure (m/f/d)

In this position, you shape the further development of our global IT infrastructure and create the technological foundations for a modern, secure and sustainable IT landscape. You develop architectural concepts for local and cloud-based environments, define technical standards and accompany their implementation in the international environment. You combine strategic thinking with sound technical know-how and work closely with our IT teams and relevant specialist areas. You continue to design and develop our global enterprise IT infrastructure and translate the strategic IT orientation into concrete architecture and infrastructure concepts for local and cloud-based environments You create IT building plans, roadmaps and technical standards and, together with the responsible IT teams, ensure their implementation in the national and international environment In addition to the conception, you will accompany the technical implementation by controlling our service providers and will also introduce yourself hands-on in the context of IT projects – from the development and testing of the solutions to the coordination of service providers in implementation in productive operation New technologies and solutions evaluate not only theoretically, but test their potential through prototypes and proof-of-concepts and evaluate their concrete benefits for SAMSON You contribute to the further development and optimization of our IT infrastructure in ongoing operation and support the analysis and solution of complex technical issues In internal and cross-departmental IT projects, you play an active role and combine architecture, technical implementation and IT operations requirements When developing and implementing infrastructure concepts, you will take into account requirements for IT security, availability, performance, scalability and backup and disaster recovery You further develop processes and structures for IT infrastructure and architecture management and thus provide the basis for a stable, sustainable IT operation

You have completed training as a specialist in system integration or a comparable qualification, ideally complemented by IT specialist training or a comparable study Multiannual professional experience in IT infrastructure, IT architecture or IT consulting as well as experience in implementing complex IT projects You have sound knowledge of modern cloud infrastructures, ideally focusing on Amazon Web Services (AWS) You are familiar with network architecture, identity & access management and modern compute and database platforms such as EC2, ECS and RDS Experience with Infrastructure as Code, in particular Terraform, as well as with backup and disaster recovery concepts You understand complex IT infrastructures holistic and can translate technical requirements into scalable and sustainable architectural concepts Strategic thinking connects you with a structured, analytical and solution-oriented approach You have a good understanding of information security and consider security-by-design principles in the development of IT architectures New technologies and thematic fields will be developed quickly and willingness to take over additional technical responsibility You communicate safely with different stakeholders and can convey complex technical facts to the addressee Very good knowledge of German at level C1 and good knowledge of English at level B2 complete your profile
