Occupational Safety Specialist (m/f/d)

Advice and support of the Director Operations as well as the executives in all matters of occupational and health protection. Implementation of risk assessments and development and implementation of appropriate safeguard measures. Regular visits to the storage and logistics areas for identifying safety risks. Examination and evaluation of accidents at work and development of prevention measures. Planning and implementation of training and instruction for employees and ensuring the timely compliance of all work protection-relevant training. Participation in the introduction and further development of occupational safety and health management systems. Cooperation with business physician, authorities, professional associations and other external partners. Creation and maintenance of necessary documentation and reports. Support in the selection and procurement of personal protective equipment (PSA).

Focus on hazardous goods

Consultation and support in compliance with national and international hazardous goods regulations (ADR, RID, IMDG Code, IATA-DGR - depending on the business area). Monitoring the proper classification, labelling, packaging and documentation of dangerous goods. Support in the creation and maintenance of hazardous processes and work instructions. Training and instruction in the area of hazardous goods. Participation in internal audits as well as preparation and monitoring of official audits. Cooperation with the Hazardous Goods Officer or Take over the function if the corresponding qualification exists.

Completed training or completed studies with successfully completed qualification as a specialist for occupational safety. Ideally, additional qualification as a hazardous goods officer or sound knowledge in hazardous goods law. Ideally professional experience in the field of logistics, storage or transport. Knowledge of the relevant legal regulations in labour, health, environmental protection and dangerous goods law. Safe handling of popular MS Office applications. Good knowledge of German and English in word and writing. Analytical and structured operation. Communication strength, enforcement capacity and consulting competence. Self-conscient, responsible and solution-oriented working.
