We are looking for a 01.09.2026:

Your duties • Self-responsible obercive care of stationary and outpatient patients in the field of thorax surgery • Implementation and supervision of the entire thorax surgery spectrum including open and minimally invasive procedures (VATS) • Interdisciplinary cooperation with the fields of pneumology, oncology, radiology, intensive medicine and anaesthesia • Participation in tumour conferences and participation in diagnosis, therapy planning and care of thoraxoncological patients • Ensuring pre-, intra- and post-operative care including business, indication and complications management • Technical guidance, supervision and further training of assistant physicians and students • Participation in the organisation and development of the thorax surgery department and its treatment standards • Participation in the medical call service • Implementation and supervision of bronchoscopic, interventional and diagnostic procedures • Active participation of quality assurance measures, clinical paths and certification processes • Participation in clinical studies, scientific projects and publication and lecture activities • Close cooperation with established colleagues as well as instructors to ensure continuous patient care • Participation in the strategic development of thorax surgery services and new surgical procedures • Responsibility for compliance with medical, hygienic and economic standards

Your profile • Specialist in thorax surgery with proven thorax surgery expertise • Multiannual clinical experience in thorax surgery • Comprehensive surgical experience throughout the spectrum of thorax surgery, especially in minimally invasive procedures (VATS) • Safe handling of thoraxoncological diseases and their interdisciplinary treatment • Experience in the guidance and supervision of assistant physicians as well as pleasure in the further training of young doctors • High professional competence in pre-, intra- and postoperative care of thorax-surgical patients • Embossed team and communication skills and joy in interdisciplinary cooperation • Responsibility, organisational skills and economic thinking • Willingness to participate in the call and standby service • commitment to quality assurance, clinical standards and continuous development of the department • Ideally scientific interest with experience in clinical studies, publications or lectures • Sovereign appearance, high social competence and appreciation of patients, patients and employees • Good knowledge of the hospital information system and medical documentation • Very good knowledge of German in word and writing; additional English skills are advantageous • High level of initiative, resilience and joy of decision in demanding situations
