Senior Network Security Engineer (m/w/d) 24h Whether infrastructure, software development or cybersecurity: Global IT is the digital backbone of Festo – safe, inno­vative and powerful. You are part of a global team of over 400 colleagues who support more than 20,000 clients, operate over 1,000 central IT systems and provide innovative solutions. In addition, the cloud and decentralized systems department in around 65 countries worldwide – with several thousand systems. The body can be occupied in full or part-time. In the case of a part-time occupation, a part-time level of at least 60%, i.e. a minimum of 24 hours per week, is required.

Evaluation, development and implementation of innovative IT security solutions and concepts to protect our global IT systems Operation, administration and continuous optimisation of global network security components and DMZ network infrastructure Detection and elimination of safety and proactive identification of weak points Planning and implementation of safety guidelines, standards and best practices Cooperation with internal departments and external service providers to secure network security Implementation of security audits and penetration tests and the derivation and documentation of appropriate measures to improve network security Monitoring and reporting of network security Participation in the preparation and updating of emergency and recovery plans

Successfully completed high school studies in computer science or comparable quality Multiannual experience in network security Knowledge and analytical approach in the Troubleshooting of complex network and security problems Experience with cloud platforms, in particular AWS and Azure Ideally experience with different network and security manufacturers (e.g. Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Check Point) Advantageous programming knowledge of DevNet, Python, Ansible or Terraform Network and security certification (e.g. CCNP Security, CISSP, CISM, CEH) German and English knowledge in word and writing Team orientation and independent working methods Communication strength, conflictability and flexibility
