The focus of child, youth and family support is on professional work with children, young people and families in different situations of life. The social services field qualifies you for activities in social consulting, support and administrative structures. Both fields of study offer you wide range of applications and development in social work. A special focus is on the competence of action and decision-making. You learn to identify needs, to make professional decisions and to use appropriate assistance effectively. The needs, rights and wishes of children, young people and families are always at the heart of your action. In the practice-integrated study phases, you will be accompanied by experienced instructors. You will get insights into real work processes, reflect your professional action and develop security step by step for everyday work.

General Higher Education, Higher Education or Qualified Career (partly qualifying examination required) Motivation to accompany and support children, young people, families and people with disabilities Empathy and openness in dealing with different situations of life Very good communication skills Flexibility as well as the ability to work independently and networked thinking Willingness to self-reflection and to further develop your own professional attitude Team spirit, sense of responsibility and human values as motivation The membership of a Christian church, which belongs to the working group of Christian Churches (ACK) in Germany, is desirable.
