In this respect, we at the Cologne site consider the role of IT-Service Manager (w/m/d) IT-Servicemanagement | Köln in an indefinite fixed order. In this role, you are responsible for the technical and organizational support of BwBM's VS environment – through your own technical depth and through the targeted control of external service providers. You are the central contact person for VS end devices, act as an interface between users, IT security and service providers and ensure that classified processes work securely, in accordance with rules and smoothly. The area The IT Service Management team is responsible for the operation and further development of BwBM's IT infrastructure – including the VS environment as a particularly safety-sensitive segment. The team works closely with the IT architecture, the requirement management and external service providers. The area currently comprises eight employees – by the end of 2028, growth is planned to 18 to 20 jobs.

Your tasks include: Development and implementation of service strategies for providing and managing VS services based on business requirements Output of VS end devices to authorized employees and support in setup, commissioning and technical questions Monitoring the performance and availability of VS services and ensuring compliance with agreed SLAs Function as interface between users, IT security and external service providers Control of external service providers in close coordination with team management and internal stakeholders Planning and support of VS projects in cooperation with IT architecture and requirements management

Anyone who fills this role brings demonstrable VS experience and understands technology well enough to control it – without operating in detail. Ideally, you will bring: Professional experience in the VS environment (e.g. Bundeswehr, Security Authorities, Arms/Wehrtechnikindustrie, Secret Protection Authorities or comparable strictly regulated security areas) is absolutely necessary. Practical experience with VS processes, VSA-compliant processes, IT systems subject to approval Knowledge of IT infrastructure and IT security as the basis for organizational decisions Experience in project management and in the control of external service providers Complete study of (economic) informatics or IT training with relevant further education You work structured, think in responsibilities and keep an overview in a sensitive, regulated environment. We require very good German knowledge. Experience from IT services, authorities, industry or public environment is welcome. We require very good German knowledge in word and writing.
