For the ''AeroSpace Development' section, we are looking at the Oberkochen location at the next possible time Chief Engineer Airborne (w/m/d) with well-founded experience in device development for airborne applications. We develop aviation equipment and electro-optical components that are used for self-protection or education. Be part of our highly motivated and growing multidisciplinary team that supports the development from concept to series maturity. The chief engineer is responsible for development in the project and is responsible for the development of systems that are acceptable and comply with the requirements, as well as for the provision of the relevant evidence. The chief engineer takes over the technical management, agrees with the technical project manager and reports to the senior project manager.

Responsibility for technical feasibility, technological maturity, product / system specification, architecture and design Responsibility for the validation of requirements, system integration, verification and qualification Determining the development strategy taking into account the scope of the project, the system complexity, the technological maturity, the timetable, the target costs and the available resources Responsibility for system integrity (security, protection, environmental compatibility) Close cooperation with the development project manager and the system architects assigned to him in order to deliver the correct quality in time and at affordable costs and to perform technical weighing Coordination with customers on technical topics Identification and assessment of technical risks and opportunities and planning of adjustment proposals The willingness to attend on occasional missions is assumed

A completed engineering degree, e.g. in electrical engineering, aerospace engineering, mechatronics or comparable Compulsory multiannual professional experience in the development of mechanical and electronic components or systems Application knowledge of common standards for the development of aviation components such as ARP 4754, ARP 4761, DO-254, DO-178C Joy in work in an interdisciplinary team and the ability to lead and motivate this An analytical, structured and targeted approach Knowledge of MS Project and DOORS German and English skills
