Risk Controller, Focus on Risk Reporting

You develop a holistic risk reporting and control logic for energy trading and establish it together with the relevant departments (Portfolio Management, Trade and Group Risk Management). Assessment and risk models such as Mark-to-Market, Flexibility Assessments and Value-at-Risk are designed, developed and tested for their meaningfulness. Through trade books, strategies and portfolios, you analyze and plaibilisate valuation, booking and allocation logics and ensure their governance. Risk and trading limits are monitored, analyzed and taken into account in the further development of the existing limit framework. You'll start decision-relevant risk analyses and management reporting to manage the trading business. Improving Potentials in Processes You identify yourself and implement measures for standardization and automation within the risk controller and, if necessary, across the range.

You bring a successfully completed master's degree in mathematics, economic mathematics, physics or engineering, or a comparable quantitative study course. Ideally, you can present 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in risk controlling an energy trading or commodity trading company. You bring a clear understanding and experience in the assessment and measurement of market risks, in particular Mark-to-Market, Value-at-Risk, volume and price risks. You are familiar with the handling of MS-Office, ETRM systems, dashboards as well as databases, phyton and common reporting and analysis tools. Knowledge in portfolio and performance management as well as in commodity trading complete your profile. High flexibility, resilience and reliability distinguish you – as well as analytical strength, faithfulness to detail and the ability to identify, address limitations independently and monitor appropriate countermeasures.
