Dual study programme in Social Work (B.A.) on the virtual campus - Sonnenhalde gGmbH

Start your future in the field of social work together with the Sonnenhalde gGmbH and the IU International University (IU). In the Dual myStudium – accredited as a dual remote study – you collect your practice experience in the company and learn the theory to be 100% virtual, complemented by optional digital accompanying events.

The gGmbH sunneck in Görwihl accompanies children, young people and adults with mental limitation in the areas of living, education and social participation. Children and adolescents with health education need to visit the school of the Sonnenhalde and, if necessary, find their place of life on the way to adulthood in the children's and youth groups. Sometimes the sunneck is also the suitable place for adults with special help. For the working life of adults, we cooperate with external partners, e.g. with a workshop for disabled people (WfbM).

You accompany people with mental impairment in everyday life and help them develop their individual skills You build trustworthy relationships with our clients: inside and promote their participation and self-employment You will gain insights into the planning, monitoring and coordination of individual aid processes and into the social pedagogical work of the internal social service You work with members, authorities, cost-beneficiaries and various disciplines and get to know interdisciplinary cooperation You participate in documentation and organizational processes and gain a comprehensive insight into the diverse tasks of social work

Start your studies at the IU with (special) abitur, a qualified professional degree or as a national. Technicians:in/operator:in You can prove German skills according to language level B2 You are interested in social work with people with assistance needs You encounter other people with empathy, empathy and appreciation You are ready to learn, open to new experiences and enjoy working in the team You take responsibility and trade reliably You have a class B licence Career prospects: After your studies, you have a wide range of possibilities for use and development within the integration aid.
