On an intensive journey of up to 18 months, you rotate through the crucial areas of our global research and development organization. Your mission: to identify and develop new technologies and business opportunities that ensure the long-term innovative strength and competitiveness of Bosch. You will lead highly innovative projects from the idea to the prototype, supervised by leading researchers:inside and top executives and gather practical experience with technologies that will shape our world of tomorrow. What you will learn and develop with us: You learn how strategic research in the field of AI, quantum computing or semiconductor technology works in a global technology group, from trend analysis to patent development to transfer to the business units. You are a pioneer: the foundations for future core technologies from Bosch, whether the next generation of AI systems or the development of new cloud architectures. You work with top international researchers: in our global research centers to solve the technological challenges of the future, as well as your personal mentor from the top management, which will prepare you for your role as future leadership at Bosch.

Your academic foundation: An excellent PhD in one of the following areas: Information/Cyber Security, System Design/Cloud Architecture, Data Management, Software/Quantum Computing, AI/Data Science, Machine Learning/Deep Learning, distributed systems, Powerelectronics or Semiconductor. Your enthusiasm for the world of research: You are naturally curious, think beyond the obvious, and are burning to solve complex technological challenges. First industrial experience, e.g. through relevant internships, you have already collected. Your glimpse for the whole: you find it fascinating how a disruptive innovation is created for a global company from scientific knowledge, and are motivated to combine your research results with the strategic goals of Bosch. Your understanding of human-centric leadership: You live the belief that groundbreaking research is being developed in the team. With emotional intelligence and empathy, you create a creative environment in which you enthuse others for your ideas and achieve outstanding results together. You think strategically and shape the future: you recognize technology trends at an early stage, thereby leading a clear vision for new research fields as a leader and developing the roadmap that brings us there. You have knowledge of relevant programming languages and tools such as Java, C++, Python, Matlab, ML ops or cloud systems. Your continuous development: You understand research as a continuous learning process and bring a growth mint set to continuously develop you and your topics in a highly dynamic environment. Your linguistic compassion: You communicate in English in a safe manner and bring good knowledge of German in order to make yourself confident in our international and local research environment.
