The Department of Anesthesia, Intensive and Pain Therapy provides a qualified medical team (17 senior physicians, 17 specialist physicians and 25 assistant physicians) with the anaesthesia care of the two sites St. Peter and St. Joseph. In a total of 16 modern operating rooms, we provide patients with more than 12,000 anesthesia services at our hospital's operating clinics. In addition, in the context of complex interventions, we serve the patients of internal medicine. We offer all modern anaesthesia including ultra-sonic regional anaesthesia. In the case of particularly painful interventions, we usually apply peridural or peripheral pain catheters for further postoperative pain therapy. Our Acutschmerzdienst carries out daily postoperative pain visas.
