The City of Ulm is looking for a veterinarian for the Veterinary Office (m/w/d) The Veterinary Office of the City of Ulm is located in the Ulm-Donautal and performs a wide range of tasks in public veterinary. These include in particular: Meat hygiene monitoring in a national slaughtering and cutting plant Food monitoring Animal health control and animal health surveillance Removal of animal by-products Tasks of animal welfare Veterinary medicinal products Operation of an accredited S2 laboratory Payment is made by 14 TVöD.

Your tasks: Main focus of slaughtering and cutting operations (approximately 50 %): Participation in the organisation and implementation of the monitoring in the slaughter and cutting operations of Ulmer Fleisch GmbH and the Süddeutsche Schweinfleischzentrum Ulm GmbH Monitoring in accordance with food law taking into account animal diseases, animal welfare and animal by-product disposal rights Other tasks of the Veterinary Office (approximately 50%): Participation in operating an accredited laboratory Organisation and implementation of controls under animal welfare, animal health, animal health, veterinary medicinal products and animal by-product disposal rights Activities as a veterinary expert in food monitoring Acquisition of other activities related tasks as required

Your profile: completed studies of veterinary medicine with approval as veterinarian / veterinarian Veterinary education is desirable Compliance with the personal requirements for permission to work with pathogens according to § 44 IfSG extensive knowledge in the field of public veterinary above-average readiness, even outside the usual working hours strong team and social competence very good understanding and a safe and responsible judgment Decisionability and high conflictability safe handling of MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) as well as specialist software
