Head of Automation / Abteilungsleiter* Automation

As Head of Department Automation, you take over the technical and disciplinary management of the electrical engineering, PLC programming & AI robotics, virtual commissioning & robotics as well as SCADA/Industrial Controls. Together with your team leaders, you develop the department's technology and process strategy and actively shape the future of industrial automation. Its responsibility includes the modernisation of existing systems as well as the development of new digital, AI-based automation solutions. You create the bridge between classical control technology, artificial intelligence and networked production systems. Your goal: innovative, networked and future-proof automation solutions for our customers from various industries. Development and implementation of strategies for solutions in the smart-factory environment, including acquisitions and support of national and international customers, and achievement of revenue and profit targets Strategic and operational management of the Automation department including disciplinary leadership and further development of team leaders Strategic development of skills in electrical engineering, industrial connectivity, process control technology, AI robotics and virtual commissioning as well as digital process automation Responsibility for the planning, control and economic implementation of automation projects in the national and international environment Close cooperation with our strategic sales and departments Security services and machine and plant realisation to develop customized customer solutions

Complete study in the field of electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics or comparable qualification Multiannual professional experience in industrial automation with a deeper understanding of various technology disciplines Knowledge of machine safety-relevant regulations, standards and guidelines and their application in development and implementation projects Experience in the professional & disciplinary leadership of teams or Project teams (leading executives) as well as building and involving international resources Distributional feeling for emerging potentials of project-based cooperation in automation Social competence, communication strength, a proactive & result-oriented way of working, entrepreneurial thinking and a convincing & responsible way of dealing with internal and external stakeholders Very good knowledge of German and English
