The Federal Cartel Office is an independent competition authority in the department of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy. It's Bonn. The main activities of the market transparency point for fuels include the ongoing monitoring of fuel prices at petrol stations and the upstream value-added levels of the fuel trade. MTS-K forwards the price data of petrol stations to consumer information services providers, which in turn inform consumers via app, online or via the navigation device about the current petrol and diesel prices. It promotes transparency and competition in the fuel sector. Decisions on cartels, mergers and misuses take the total of 13 decision departments of the Federal Cartel Office. You are mainly broken down by industry. The decision-making department B13/V is responsible for mineral oil, electrical engineering and radio technology.

The recruitment is carried out in the pay group 11 of the public service collective agreement (TVöD) with a six-month trial period. If the conditions are met, a subsequent takeover into the civil service is provided.
