Safe food - Protection from contagious diseases - Healthy livestock The Landesprüfungsamt (LUA) is the central state service provider in the consumer and health protection of humans and animals in Rheinland-Pfalz. Together with our around 500 employees, we work at five locations in Koblenz, Landau, Mainz, Speyer and Trier on the nationwide monitoring and investigation of food, supplies, medicines and cosmetics, diagnostics and control of animal diseases and the protection of humans from contagious diseases. Technical and organisational management of the Department of Veterinary Control and Veterinary Affairs with around 75 employees in the fields of specialist supervision on municipal enforcement authorities (food, animal health, animal welfare, animal by-products), approval authority for animal testing projects, Institute for Animal Health Diagnostics and Animal Health Services Interdisciplinary cooperation within the National Investigation Centre and with other authorities Strategic orientation and further development of the Department of Supervision and Veterinary Participation in specialist bodies and working groups at federal and/or national level and inland

You have a successfully completed university degree (Master/ Diplom-Uni/TH/TU- or equivalent degree) for example in the field of veterinary medicine with approbation, food chemistry, chemistry or you are full lawyer with at least satisfactory results in both State Examina You can demonstrate professional and leadership experience in a leading function You are located in an office of grade A 15 or are grouped on a work contract basis in a comparable manner In addition, desirable and advantageous are: Technical knowledge in public veterinary Promotion Experience in process optimization (audit processes, development investigative standards, certification systems) and in the field of quality management Interest in IT specialist applications in the laboratory and administrative environment Driving licence Class B and readiness to operate a service vehicle Your personal strengths include: A high level of sense of responsibility, high resilience, interdisciplinary working and teamwork with constructive conflict and critique behavior and integration ability Very good problem-solving and decision-making capability, enforcement capability and pronounced communication capability Strategic and innovative thinking Ability to present complex relationships in writing and orally clearly and concisely
