Senior Encoder Developer (mwd)

As a senior encoder developer, you are responsible for the development of a new generation of encoders for machine controls.

As a senior developer for encoder, you work with the development of sensors and actuators for machine controls. You are responsible for the design, development and optimization of high-precision absolute value generators (encoder) using optoelectronic, magnetoelectric or inductive measuring principles. Your tasks include analysis and evaluation of new technology for position measurement with focus on precision, reliability and manufacturing capability. Furthermore, the definition and implementation of system architectures for encoder solutions, including the selection of suitable materials, components and sensor principles. You conduct and coordinate development projects throughout all phases, from feasibility analysis to design to series transfer. You work closely with internal teams of electronics, software, manufacturing and quality assurance to ensure a holistic product development. You carry out tolerance and function analyses, simulations and validations in the context of product development. You develop encoder solutions taking into account functional safety requirements (e.g. according to IEC 61508 or ISO 13849). It develops proprietary technologies and algorithms, such as M-sequence coding or CMOS-based sensor technologies. You support the creation of patent applications, technical documentation and technology-related decision-making processes.

Complete studies in mechanical engineering, automation, computer science or a related field Long-standing professional experience in the development and construction of encoders In-depth expertise in technologies for optoelectronic, magnetoelectric or inductive absolute valuers Experience in the areas of M-sequence algorithms, design and calculation of inductive principles, development and production of high-precision standards (optical grids), CMOS image processing for encoder design, mechanical multi-speed encoder design, functional safety in encoder design Good German and English skills in word and writing
