Research information systems (FIS) are an important basis for planning, control and transparency in science. You provide basic information from various fields and sources of the institution to meet various re-uses for internal and external purposes. The UMG is a partner in the project “Hochschule.digital Niedersachsen – Construction of a Network and Services on Research Information” and is looking for an information manager*in (w/m/d) for cooperation in the project and in the network. The position is an interface position between faculty management, research controlling and research management. Collection of existing reporting requirements and recurring requests for the collection of content requirements of an FIS in university medicine Maintenance and further development of research-related key data sets, including the core data set Research (KDSF 2.0), statistics and analyses Maintenance and compilation of data sets for the external representation of the UMG and its facilities, e.g. in the context of the Internet presence Reusable (technical) documentation and central provision of protocols, process and information models, presentation of (intermediate) results Support in the planning of interfaces, e.g. SAP S/4HANA Development of processes for regulating competences for the collection, provision and quality control of research information Participation in the nationwide competence center (general and special FIS requirements in medicine) Close communication and organisation for the implementation and follow-up of workshops and network meetings with the participating universities and local stakeholders

Completed scientific university studies in the field of information technology or data science (Bachelor, Master or comparable), ideally already with professional experience Experiences in dealing with databases and corresponding software tools (e.g. Linux, SQL, SAP, SharePoint) Experiences in data management and data analysis Experiences in project and process management are advantageous Effective and targeted work, both independently and in the team Very good German knowledge Very good communication and organizational capability
