A versatile and varied three-year dual training. This takes place in our Institutional Library and at the Multi Media Vocational Education and Training Schools (MMBbS) in Hannover. You are involved in daily work and gradually take on independent tasks. Through the close cooperation of our library with the information service providers of other Max Planck Institutes and the Max Planck Digital Library, you will learn about innovative library offers during your training. Participation in internships in other libraries and information institutions (if desired also abroad) completes your training. As an apprentice, you will become part of our open and cooperative library team and get to know all the important areas of work in a scientific library, including: Participation in the remote service and in digitalization Support, advise and inform researchers Manage and maintain library inventory Support for events Implementation of projects
You have a very good degree in real education or the general university or professional qualification with good services in the subjects German and English.
