About us For our highly innovative Business Unit Advanced Optics we are looking for an ambitious Head of Strategy & Market Intelligence. The role is an ideal starting point for talents who want to develop perspectively into an operational responsibility. SCHOTT Advanced Optics is a globally valuable partner for the development of products and customer-specific solutions for applications in optics, astronomy, semicon, augmented reality, life sciences and research. Your duties Supporting the entire BU management in strategic issues, among others in the areas of New Business Development, Business Portfolio Optimization, Business Process Optimization or M&A Activities Takeover of its own strategic projects to develop decision-making bases for the strategic orientation of the BU, including the identification of opportunities and risks for achieving the BU objectives Control and improvement of all BU-internal market intelligence processes, tools and activities as well as operation of the interface to Group MI Leadership and development of a small team

Your profile Excellent university degree (Master or MBA/PhD), ideally in the field of economic engineering or economics with a technical/natur science focus At least 7 years of professional experience in marketing, sales, product management, business development and strategy within a corporate environment or in management and strategy consulting Experience in managing complex projects in strategy development and market intelligence Flowing German and English skills Excellent communication skills and excellent analytical and conceptual skills Own initiative and fun to make active changes - make it yours!
