The resin clinic Dorothea Christiane Erxleben is one of the largest municipal hospitals in Saxony-Anhalt and provides approximately 100,000 patients annually, including over 30,000 inpatients and 70,000 outpatients. With 777 beds at the locations Quedlinburg, Wernigrode and Blankenburg, it ensures medical care in the district of Harz, which is located in Saxony-Anhalt and borders on south-eastern Lower Saxony and the northern Thuringia. The clinic has been in all three locations for over 120 years.

Approximately 17,000 patients are recorded annually via the emergency room, which is approximately 55 percent of all stationary cases. The clinic includes 22 specialist clinics and eight medical centers, including the certified Harz breast centre (DKG), the Harz intestinal centre (DKG), the Harz vascular centre (DGA, DGG, DRG), the Harz skin cancer centre (DKG), the Levell II perinatal centre, the certified Stroke Unit and the Harz wound centre.

The clinic group employs 2,399 employees. In 2018, employees work directly at the Harzklinikum, including 279 doctors and 858 nurses. The clinic locations are located in Quedlinburg, Wernigerode and Blankenburg, three historically and touristically important cities of the Harz, where two (Wernigerode and Blankenburg) once belonged to the Kurfürstentum Hannover and thus the one in the area of the Welfen. The clinic is a municipal hospital of the district of Harz with 207,000 inhabitants.

Sturected, reliable further training taking into account the training regulations of the Landesärztekammer Sachsen-Anhalt in general and visceral surgery, emergency medical system, endoscopy, intensive medicine · Stationary and outpatient patient care as well as planning, arranging and monitoring the processes and therapy under specialist supervision · Visibility of the findings, arrangement of diagnostic methods and evaluation under supervision, Bedside Teaching · Participation in the standby service, as well as in regular internal and external continuing and continuing training supported by the company · Participation in congresses care of patients as well as planning, arranging and monitoring the processes of therapeutic treatment under medical supervision Sighting of the findings, arrangement of diagnostic methods and evaluation under supervision Participation in the standby service, as well as in regular internal and external continuing and continuing training supported by the company
