Number: MER00042MP With us in RD/MIS we are responsible for all MB-Cars seats from the Compact Segment to the S-Class: We are professionals for comfort, wrinkles, leather and silent adjustment. The team is responsible for the development of seat covers in the core and in the top end segment of the first and second rows of seats. We are in close contact with both internal and external material development, with seating workshop and external partners/suppliers. For the active support and operational support of the development process towards series maturity, we are looking for 1-2 students who want to complete a practical application with us. In RD/MIS we are a large, closely linked and committed development team with many different people, backgrounds and, of course, tasks. These challenges include: Together with you, we want to further develop our seat covers and increase the degree of ripening of the components up to series use, with the aim of establishing an attractive and customer-friendly overall product. You will support our team in various development steps, testing and release. Your tasks in detail: Support in defining the development direction with respect to maturity, cost performance, sustainability, look and feel

Coordination Seat Pattern Design together with our workshop and design

Establishing test plans and schedules for implementation

Accompanying test samples in the design and especially in validation and comprehensive result documentation

Conducting individual testing activities (robot test, continuous running in the vehicle, more...)

Competition analysis of references, as well as procurement of competition vehicles

Creation of specific benchmark analyses or new materials on the market or competition strategies in the seat context

The activity can begin from August 2026.

Professional qualifications: Study of material development, chemistry, textile technology, etc.
