• Business controlling for commodity trading, including long-term origination deals, which include planning, forecasting and reporting, performance analysis and assessment.

• As a counterparty and counterparty to the commodity trading business/long-term origination business by providing commercial business support to increase performance.

• create transparency about financial and economic performance, with deviation analyses for business and upper management, to provide appropriate control measures.

• Coordination of medium-term planning and projections in cooperation with the Business Controlling team and the business areas.

• Deviations critically question and develop innovative ideas to continuously improve the business.

• Promote project/business plans and make recommendations for decision-making by critically evaluating projects, investments and long-term contracts; lead through the respective approval processes as well as portfolio reviews, performance assessment, business model and KPI facility.

• Use your financial knowledge to give positive impulses to the business units through ad hoc analyses.

• Work in multifunctional projects and internal interfaces to represent the business controlling.

• Prepare management presentations, e.g. for performance dialogues with the joint Uniper board, control committees and the Uniper board.

• Help to establish an innovative controlling organization that uses both digitization tools and operational excellence to make processes as efficient as possible.

• Excellent degree in business/finance or economy with at least 3 years of relevant professional experience in controlling.

• Funded controller know-how with a comprehensive understanding of the energy industry and its competitive landscape. KPIs such as EBIT, OPEX, CAPEX, OCF are familiar terms and reporting according to IFRS and HGB; proven know-how and experience in evaluation and long-term financial modeling.

• Strong analytical thinking and passion for converting complex business/business problems into financial core data; general understanding and experience of origination and trading in relevant raw materials.

• intrinsically motivated, thinking outside the box, innovative and entrepreneurial thinking, willingness to leave your comfort zone.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present data clearly and understandably.

• In a position to take responsibility for independent and proactive work in a structured and efficient way, including across-the-range.

• flowing English skills; German and other languages are of advantage.
