As a (Senior) Transaction Lawyer you will be part of our against Matter Optimisation Team and embedded within the Corporate / M&A practice in Munich. Your main focus will be project and transaction management within the Corporate / M&A area.
You will be involved in all phases of a transaction and will use the latest legal technology tools in your work. A key part of your role will be to coordinate and manage due diligence processes, from planning and set‐up through to reporting. Your engagement will continue beyond the due diligence phase, for example in managing signing and closing processes and implementing post‐closing measures.
You will have direct contact with clients and will make a significant contribution to the smooth and successful execution of cross‐border transactions. You will work closely with Corporate / M&A fee earners on a wide variety of matters, and at the same time cooperating on a day‐to‐day basis with colleagues in our other Matter Optimisation teams including Project Management. In all of these tasks you will be in regular contact with colleagues across Germany and in our international offices.
You have a degree in business law search as a Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Business Law or Master of Laws (LL.M.), or you have successfully completed a comparable course of study, ideally with at least part of your studies undertaken abroad. You have business‐fluent German and English language skills. Ideally, you have already gained initial experience in M&A and/or due diligence projects, for example through internships, traineeships or a first role. You are open minded, highly motivated and enjoy working on new topics and tackling complex challenges. You enjoy working in interdisciplinary teams and have a genuine interest in international transactional work.
