As part of a succession control, we were commissioned by our client to search for a production manager (m/w/d) sheet metal production. Our client is a medium-sized family company in Osthessen, which specialises in the production of highly complex, innovative facilities. With decades of experience and full order books, the company, with its 100 employees, delivers tailor-made solutions for international customers from a wide range of industries, in addition to the automotive and subcontracting industry and the general processing industry, aviation and medical technology.

As a production manager (m/w/d), you are responsible for the entire organization, control and optimization of the production processes in the area of sheet metal processing. They ensure the time- and quality-oriented production of demanding sheet metal parts and assemblies for internal further processing and on behalf of external customers. In addition, you will lead and motivate a growing team of currently around 25 employees, promote their further development and ensure a cooperative working environment.

Location: Bad Hersfeld

Professional and disciplinary guidance of employees in the areas of punching, edges, cutting, welding, assembly and assembly production. Planning, control and monitoring of production orders taking into account dates, quality and cost-effectiveness. Optimization of production processes and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes (Lean Manufacturing, 5S etc.). Capacity planning and personnel deployment planning. Offer calculation for the components and assemblies to be manufactured. Ensure work safety, order and cleanliness in production. Cooperation with design, work preparation and quality assurance for technical development and process improvement. Support in investment planning and selection and introduction of new machines and manufacturing technologies.

Complete technical training with training as a master/technical technician or a completed study in the field of mechanical engineering, production technology or comparable. Multiannual professional experience in the direction of sheet metal production or comparable production environments. Specialized knowledge in the areas of punching, edges, welding (MAG/WIG), assembly and handling of large sheet metal assemblies (up to 4 m). Experience in employee management, communication strength and enforcement capacity. Structured, solution-oriented operation and high quality and responsibility awareness. Safe handling of ERP systems and MS Office. Knowledge of Lean methods and CVP of advantage.
