In this context, our RD/ETS2 (software development for drivetrain and electric drives II) has the responsibility for developing the basic and application software of inverter control units for electrical drive systems. We focus, among other things, on the research and development of thermal models to exploit the maximum potential of the electric drivetrain.

These challenges include: Creation of an evaluation process for the thermal models of the electrical machine and power electronics Big Data: Systematic evaluation of measurement data Support for measurement data recording at test stands and in development vehicles Participation in the development and implementation of temperature models in MATLAB/Simulink Benchmark analysis of different temperature models Documentation of results Cooperation with the team in operational daily business The activity can begin from February 2026.

Study programme in the field of electrical engineering, vehicle technology or a comparable study programme Knowledge and systemic overall understanding of electrical drive components Knowledge in the fields of power electronics and electrical machines Knowledge of thermodynamics desirable Found programming knowledge in MATLAB/Simulink Safe handling of MS Office Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Communication and team skills Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate with a specification of the semester, if necessary.
