Product Owner – Steuerungssoftware Beckhoff / TwinCAT 3 (m/w/d)

The development department at the main location in the Darmstadt/Aschaffenburg area is the center of the global software organization and works with modern, agile probes on state-of-the-art level of the software industry.

Product Owner (m/w/d) is responsible for the technical and organizational response for the development of real-time control software for the next generation of our client's machine control. You are a link between internal development, external partners and international service teams and ensure smooth implementation of requirements in functional software releases. You report directly to the global leader of software products at the site.

Your main tasks at a glance: Professional and organizational control of PLC development (Beckhoff / TwinCAT 3) Planning and Priority in the Agile Development Process (Scrum, Sprints, Release Cycles) Coordination of internal and external developers (currently about 6–7 persons) Coordination with global development sites Close cooperation with HMI, CNC and application teams to ensure system integration Interface to product management, service and second-level support Monitoring software quality, release preparation and documentation Use of modern tools (Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, Beckhoff TwinCAT) Initiation and co-design of improvement measures, including using modern AI tools in the development process

Complete study of electrical engineering, automation technology, computer science or comparable qualification Knowledge of Beckhoff TwinCAT 3 and PLC programming (IEC 61131) Experience in mechanical engineering or industrial control systems Ideally first contact with CNC topics or drive technology Secure understanding of agile software development (Scrum, Kanban) High organisational competence and joy in coordination and team work Communication strength, team orientation and willingness to take responsibility Very good English skills in word and writing
