Regional Management South - Freight Forwarding (m/f/d)

All employees are involved in the success of our company - in offices, warehouses and in the tax as drivers on national and European routes. As a regional manager, you are primarily People Manager:in. You run a team of 3 Fleet managers, who are responsible for our drivers. In perspective, a technical bat manager is added, which monitors the fleet condition and is responsible for 1–2 workshops. Your success measures how well you develop your executives and how committed and healthy your team works. Leadership & Development: You run your Fleet managers professionally and disciplinefully – with regular 1:1s, clear feedback and genuine interest in their development. Team culture: You create an environment where your leaders can motivate their drivers and address problems at an early stage. Performance & Health status: You have a look at the performance indicators of your region – in particular the rate of sickness and fluctuation – and you are actively taxing against it. Recruiting & Onboarding: You support the acquisition of new Fleet managers and create a structured integration. Driver recruitment: You are active in hiring new professional drivers: from pre-selection to conversation. Representation & Backup: If you are absent or bottlenecks, you will start as proxy for your Fleet manager and keep the store running. Operational control: You make sure that legal requirements (lease and rest periods, GüKG) are complied with and keeps an eye on budgets. Efficiency: You have a long-term view of the economic characteristics of your region and tax proactively on deviations. Price negotiations: You support in negotiations with the local depots and ensure economically viable conditions. Management interface: You report directly to the management and actively shape the strategic development of your region.

Management experience is mandatory: You have already managed teams or executives – ideally in a decentralized structure with multiple locations. People-First mentality: You believe that good results are created by good leadership, not by pressure. Communication strength: You can conduct difficult conversations, clearly delegate and listen at the same time. Industry experience: Experience in transport/logistics is helpful, but no need – leadership competence weighs harder. Travel readiness: You are regularly traveling in your region (about 2–3 days/week) and present at the locations. Language skills: You have knowledge of German and good English or Polish for communication within our international group.
