The Department of Anesthesia, Intensive and Pain Therapy provides a qualified medical team (12 senior physicians, 7 specialist physicians and 29 assistant physicians) with the anaesthesia care of the two sites of Peter Hospital and Hospital St. Joseph. In a total of 16 modern operating rooms, we provide patients with more than 12,000 anesthesia services at our hospital's operating clinics. In addition, in the context of complex interventions, we serve the patients of internal medicine. We offer all modern anaesthesia including ultra-sonic regional anaesthesia. In the case of particularly painful interventions, we usually apply peridural or peripheral pain catheters for further postoperative pain therapy. Our Acutschmerzdienst makes daily postoperative pain visas.
