In our Augmented Reality business segment, we develop the optical materials and technologies of tomorrow. While our headquarters is located in Mainz, our development and production sites are located in Malaysia and China. As part of our international team, you design innovative technologies for the next generation of augmented reality applications and are responsible for their successful transition from idea to pilot phase to global series production. A special focus of your task is on the development and industrialization of scalable manufacturing technologies, which are implemented and developed worldwide at our international locations. You work closely with interdisciplinary teams from research, development, production and operations and make a decisive contribution to the further growth of our global AR business. Your duties Promote development, qualification and industrialization of innovative manufacturing technologies and production processes Specification, integration, commissioning and running of production facilities in close cooperation with suppliers and internal stakeholders Develop and implement automation and digitalization solutions to increase productivity, quality and scalability Conduct technical projects within development and industrialization projects and ensure compliance with deadline, cost and performance targets Work together with production, quality, NPD, NPI, product management and external partners to achieve operational excellence and sustainable process improvements Your profile Complete studies in engineering, physics, automation, mechatronics or a comparable technical field Entrepreneurial thinking personality with pleasure in transforming innovative ideas into scalable manufacturing solutions Found experience in automation, plant integration and modern production technologies Analytical thinking combined with a pragmatic and high-reaction method Safe in handling suppliers, development teams and production organisations in an international environment Motivation to design the next generation of high-volume manufacturing technologies for modern optical and AR products Your Benefit As open as SCHOTT is for your further development, our offer of additional benefits is as extensive.
