Head of Museum Visitor Service (m/w/d) for ticket office, museum and museum shop including museum supervisors

Rheinland Kultur GmbH is the service and operating company of the landscape association Rheinland (LVR) and supports this local association with more than 1,400 employees in 20 museums and 54 school, clinical and health education institutions. To support our location in the LVR Niederrheinmuseum Wesel (Opening hours from 11:00 -17:00) we are looking for dedicated employees in the area from 01.10.2025 (110 hours a month) Head of Museum Visitor Service (m/w/d) for Cashier, Museum and Museum Shop including Museum Supervisor

You are responsible for the management of the museum bank with all entrance fees and the shop of the museum with the appropriate goods management Service planning and management of employees in the areas of museum supervision, cash register and shop In addition to the care of the museum visitors, your area of responsibility includes the complete organization and handling of the cash register area (incl. museum shop) You will take care of the museum needs of your area of responsibility and make corresponding wishes in consultation with the museum management You are contact*in for visitors and answer questions about the museum and the exhibitions With your friendliness and your high service orientation, you will be able to spend a pleasant day at the museum. You support the team in museum events and museum programs In the evacuation case, you take important functions to ensure the safety of visitors

You have completed commercial training or have a comparable qualification/work experience You have experience in personnel management and service planning and have worked at best in a service-oriented profession Responsibility is not yours, and the integrity associated with it is of course yours Your strong organizational talent and your service orientation are characterized You think forward and actively to ensure smooth and efficient processes You keep the overview and the necessary rest, even in stressful situations You have the pleasure of dealing with people, even with larger guests Communication strength and creativity bring you along with an experienced handling of MS Office (experiences with the Korona and go~mus are of advantage) You are strong in communication and find the right response for the different visitor groups You have a high level of service orientation, friendliness and fingertips in dealing with the visitors and the employees You support the team at museum events, even outside the regular opening hours
